The Heritage and Train related board games 

Belper Library, Derwent Street | 10am-1.30pm

There will be games such as Ticket to Ride including an historic Derbyshire map and Brass Birmingham (the number one ranking game globally), which features the town of Belper and Arkwright (players can build various industries, such as cotton mills, coal mines, and iron works, to develop their industrial networks during the Industrial Revolution). Family friendly.

Preserving Belper’s Industrial Heritage

No.28, Market Place | 9am-1pm

A project coordinated by Belper Historical Society (BHS), engaging with communities in and around Belper who may have family artefacts from Belper factories. Volunteer BHS ‘curators’ will help to collect, organise and preserve factory-related photographs, documents and artefacts, creating virtual scrapbooks. 

 

Once catalogued and digitised, original materials will be offered to the Derbyshire Record Office for long term storage.

Frank Beresford, Artist of Royalty, History, Landscapes – and My Grannies

Room 107, Strutts Community Centre | 7pm for 7.30pm

Talk by Robert Reid for Belper Historical Society. Frank Beresford (1881–1967) was born in Derby, lived in Belper, studied at Derby School of Art, exhibited at the Royal Academy and was recognised for his war paintings and his portrait of George Herbert Strutt.

Saturday March 21st

You-Create competition Exhibition 

No.28, Market Place | 10am-4pm

'You-Create' is an annual, creative competition, aimed at young people ages 5-17 years, from Belper, Duffield and surrounding areas. It is organised by Belper and Duffield Rotary. Categories include writing, photography, film making, cartoons/ Manga, Arts (including all media). The work is judged by a professional in each category and publicly displayed at this exhibition. There are also pocket money prizes and certificates. For 2026, the theme will be 'Belper Past, Present, Future'.

Belper Model Railway Exhibition 

Strutts Community Centre, Derby Road, Belper | 10am-5pm

A variety of layouts in various scales, including “drive-it-yourself” Thomas the Tank Engine for children of all ages. Trade support.

Music: The Take That Experience 

St Peter's Church, Belper | Doors at 6:30pm

This incredible show features hit after hit from Take That’s career – from classic 90s hits through to their most recent triumphs. Songs include Pray, Relight My Fire, Patience, Shine, These Days, Rule The World and more. The songs are accompanied by iconic dance routines and costumes.
The show also features the one and only "Robbie Williams" who performs fan favourites including the iconic song that launched his solo career, Angels.
 

This show is a must for any Take That fan as the boys don’t just give you a night you’ll Never Forget... they give you The Take That Experience!

Second in a series of six talks by Adrian Farmer, looking at the past 250 years in Belper through historic images. This session concentrates on images from the earliest days of photography.
